On our morning walk to the park – a touch longer today – Hank pooped for the first time since the surgery. Not a lot, but definitely all systems go!
When not gallivanting to the park, we’ve been enjoying outside time in the backyard.
This morning I happened to say the word “Walk” and Hank responded by popping up out of bed and heading for the door, tail wagging. Obvs we now HAD to take a walk. We bopped over to the little park nearby and had a delightful little outing. A couple rest breaks were necessary, but that’s to be expected. We’re getting back to normal. ❤️
The surgeon called today with results from the biopsy – benign cyst!
Hank came home Friday night, still ‘drunk’, with his lump draining a bit of blood in his drool. Nonetheless he was very much himself in personality & interests, if not motor skills. By midday Saturday he was 100%, and now the only evidence that he had a procedure is the shaved bit on his leg where they put the IV.
This turned out NOT to be a tooth abscess, and the surgeon was a bit stumped. She did drain the lump, remove the tooth (it did have root damage), clean his teeth overall, and take samples of bone (bone growth!) and other tissue from the lump area for biopsy. We should get results in 1-2 weeks.
